"I will represent all the diverse voices of our district, and

I WILL FIGHT TO ENSURE THAT EVERY COMMUNITY HAS ACCESS TO CLEAN, SAFE, AND AFFORDABLE WATER."

WHAT IS THE CENTRAL BASIN MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT AND
WHY SHOULD YOU CARE?

Water is our most vital natural resource, and the Central Basin Municipal Water District (CBMWD) plays a crucial role in securing it for our community by working with the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California (MWD). However, the Metropolitan Water District sources from Northern California and the Colorado River has become increasingly expensive. Additionally, the mismanagement at Central Basin Municipal Water District over the past two decades has only made things worse, leading to skyrocketing costs for us all.

As a result, many cities and their leaders have chosen to move away from relying on this water source, but fewer options mean higher prices. We must address this issue now to protect our communities from unnecessary rising costs while ensuring a sustainable water future.
